We are proud of our Coaching Culture. All our leaders participate in a six-month Coaching Leader programme to develop their capability in creating an environment where we get the best from and for our people. Our leaders continue their learning journey with quarterly communities of practice. We have several qualified executive coaches internally and externally who support our ongoing evolution to a culture that celebrates people’s capability, in an environment of unconditional positive regard, challenge, listening and feedback.
We follow the 70:20:10 development model. 70% on the job training, 20% networking and learning from others, 10% formal training. Most of the workplace learning (70:20) are supported by the various trainer-led programmes in our Thrive development model.
We have a variety of leadership development programmes from early career to executive level, creating an environment of cultural excellence.

Tirlán Mountain Challenge
The 2024 Tirlán Mountain Challenge saw employees lace up their boots for our charity hike in Connemara National Park, which included part of the Maumturks mountain range over two days raising funds for our new charity partner, Aware. Aware is the national organisation supporting people impacted by depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety and related mood conditions. As part of our mountain climbing challenges, our teams have taken on peaks all over the country to raise money for good causes.
Tour de Tirlán
The ‘Tour de Tirlán’ is a one day event which includes cycles over 3 distances – 40km, 130km and 200km with 70 cyclists all leaving Tirlán’s Collaboration Hub in Abbey Quarter, Kilkenny.
